December Learning Box 2022

Fun Fact: According to the Environmental Protection Agency, 97% of all earth’s water is salt water, while only 3% of the earth’s water is considered to be fresh.

Join us to learn about the density of salt and fresh water and what happens to water when salt, baking soda, or sugar is added. We’ll even learn about independent, dependent, and control variables in this fun, easy experiment, too!

When:
Sunday December 11, 2022
2:00 PM to 3:00 PM) (Must register by Wednesday December 5, 2022
Where:
A Zoom link will be provided upon registration

Materials in the learning box to be delivered prior to the session will include:

  • plastic containers
  • salt
  • baking soda
  • sugar packets
  • measuring spoons
  • a plastic spoon
  • solid and hollow items to float in the water

Just add water!

Water from the sink is fine, and you’ll need a clear work station (kitchen table or clean sink will work). Registration by the deadline is required to allow enough time to assemble and deliver everyone’s Learning Box in time!

Please register for “What Makes It Float?“ by December 5.
