Hi friends & families,
I know that many of us were looking forward to our FAST Halloween event this coming Saturday, October 24 from 1 – 4 PM. unfortunately, we will not be moving forward with this activity.
In accordance with Tri-County Health Department’s emergency public health order, which went into effect on Friday, October 16, we have made the difficult decision to not hold our in-person FAST event, which would have undoubtedly exceeded the 10-person limit for gatherings. We want to make sure that we are not jeopardizing anyone’s well-being or contributing to the rise of COVID-19 incidence rate in Arapahoe County. We know this is not what any of us wanted to hear, but we do this with everybody’s health and safety in mind.
Although we will not be gathering in-person this coming Saturday, please join us for the National Federation of the Blind of Colorado’s 66 thannual convention on Thursday, October 29 to Saturday, October 31. The convention will be held virtually, and we would love to see you all there! You can register at www.nfbco.org, there will be programing for youth and for parents. If you are still hoping to do some pumpkin carving, there will be some of that taking place as well!
Thank you, and stay safe,
Director of Youth Services
