Get ready for a fun-filled morning at our “Horse Sense” event for blind children and their siblings!

Date: September 14, 2024

Time: 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM

Location: Colorado Center for the Blind

Address: 2233 W. Shepperd Ave., Littleton, CO 80120

A blind woman with neatly braided hair, wearing a black blindfold and a denim jacket, gently strokes a large horse with a dark coat. Her left hand grips the horse's halter rope. The scene is outdoors on a sunny day with trees and green grass in the background.

Do you love animals? Want to learn all about horses? Like to know how they work with our law enforcement officers?

Join Colorado Center for the Blind and the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Mounted Unit for an exciting opportunity to get up close and personal with some friendly horses! Meet some of the mounted unit officers and enjoy light refreshments. This event is perfect for all ages!

Plus, Lt. Rich Anselmi has written two kid’s books about horses with illustrations by one of the deputies – “Julie’s Wish” and “The Happy Police Horse.” Both books are available in Braille! So, you’ll have the chance to read one of these fun stories to the horses!

We can’t wait to see you there!

Please RSVP for Horse Sense by September 6.
