Friday, May 16 to Sunday morning, May 18, 2025

Where?

YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park

Who?

Parents with a blind or low-vision child and siblings – the entire family!

Times?

• Friday Check-in: 5 to 7 p.m.
• Sunday Depart by: 10 a.m.

How?

Register here by May 9th.

There will be lots of educational opportunities for parents of blind children:

• Navigating school and social settings
• Just what can your blind/low-vision child be expected to do? In school, after school? At home?
• Cooking, household tasks, etc.
• How to include your child in family activities – games, movies, outings?

And lots of fun for all the kids! Activities include:

• Going on a nature hike
• Nature and conservation education
• Archery, climbing, or other on-site activities
• Field day activities: kickball, sack races
• Accessible board games
• More!

This family weekend will take place at the beautiful YMCA of the Rockies property in Estes Park. We’ll all arrive Friday evening and work together to make meals, clean up, and sleep in the spacious cabin perfect for families. Saturday will be our major activity day, and we’ll pack up and leave on Sunday morning.
