Training for Professionals on Blindness

The Colorado Center for the Blind shares its expertise on blindness with other professionals serving the blind and visually impaired through interactive and hands-on training seminars.

Seminars can be customized for an agency or organization’s requirements and accommodate up to 20 professionals per class. Seminars can be for two hours or ten days.

Our Professional Training Seminars include information about causes of blindness, alternative techniques used successfully by blind people, an introduction to sleepshades and their use with a white cane or in preparing lunch, and we spend time talking about the myths of blindness as well.

Training can be conducted at your place or ours. Contact Duncan Larsen at 303.778.1130. extension 226 or dlarsen@cocenter.org for more information or to schedule training on blindness for your agency or organization.
