For Blind and Low Vision Students

Okay, what if you had a robot that could do your chores, things like take out the trash or do the dishes, or even better – scoop up the dog poop in the back yard?

The Colorado Center for the Blind, In partnership with cyber.org, Is offering a coding/robotics Program for kids in the Metro Denver area this summer!

No, you won’t be coding a poop-scooping robot yet, but you gotta start somewhere, and this camp is just the place to begin for future blind and low vision coders!

When:
June 13-16
Where:
Colorado Center for the Blind
2233 W. Shepperd Ave.
Littleton, CO 80121

There is limited space, and students will get the most from this camp who:

  • Know how to use their own assistive technology to at least a basic level;
  • Possess at least an 8th grade reading level; and
  • Are ready for Algebra.

Algebra? Cool!

There will be three days of coding and robotics taught by the cyber.org experts, daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and tailored for blind and low vision students. The final half-day will be a kayaking trip to nearby Chatfield Reservoir! We’ll need some physical activity after all that brain work.

Register Here!

Registration will remain open until full. To find out more, contact our Director of Youth Services, Chaz Davis at 303-778-1130, ext. 212, or cdavis@cocenter.org
